It’s not a they (and there is no ‘we’ of this form either). ‘They’ refers not to people, but to processes and procedures which have effectively ‘captured’ humans as reproductive and developmental agents. If we cannot or refuse to understand this, the resulting riddles go unsolved, and we remain confused about the origins of the diseases in our thoughts and fake societies.”
