A trustworthy position on some issue is almost always nuanced… it includes a variety of useful perspectives and speculations about the topic. For this reason, the strange situation of absolutely assured, self-righteous declaration of ‘the right way to think’ is highly suspect. But even this idea is subject to its own structure, and yet, it doesn’t tell us what to think, or even how to think, but rather, cautions us about the dangers of deciding ‘I know what’s going on’ when, in fact, we haven’t begun to form a trustworthy array of perspectives and concerns.
