I’ve been fascinated by technology most of my life. But the objects FB is trying to sell me look like things from other universes and I have no fucking idea what they could possibly be for. I mean, literally, I will (just to see if there’s an exception) scroll through (horizontally) 20 objects. No fucking idea what any of those are, are for, or do. None. Not even one exception. And the names of the objects? Honestly, I feel like someone actually sat down and made shit up just to confuse me. Not one of the names says anything about what the object is or does or is for…

That’s some pretty amazing marketing. How do you even do that?

Not only that, but the experience is extremely bizarre and drug-like. I mean, there isn’t any part of my life where I suddenly encounter tech mystery objects in a long string that are as baffling as they are expensive. It makes me wonder if part of reality is broken and a weird other universe is leaking into FB without anyone being aware of this.
