The average tree of reasonable age has learned a thousand dialects of »silence. It ‘listens’ to »silences and »learns how to make and understand them. The silence of the Sun. The Moon. Stars. The silences of a hundred different birds. The silences of its local and distributed microbiome. The silences of Origin and Awakening.

And it will teach them… to those who listen…

… not with their ears, or even their ‘mind’.

It will teach those who can listen with their »before. The before of the mind. Often ‘felt’ deep in one’s belly. This is where many of the ‘speaking’ silences we can make … and ‘listen to’ are formed and received.

But it takes practice to »produce a silence that speaks.
