Many of us are engaged in games of extrapolation; of trying to understand ‘what’s going on’, but the data we’re using, and the concerns that orient our predictions are flawed (bias), we’ve mostly got this backwards. Careful extrapolation involves actual mutual concern, care, and engagement.

‘Rights’ are a fiction; their reality depends not on mandates, but actually mutual concern, care, and shared values — including vulnerability.

Lastly, I suggest that small, tightly-knit, intelligent cooperatives… have the power to overcome forces that superficially appear unassailable.
