The ideas that once belonged to the Left and Right had untrustworthy pedigrees and were too ironically conflicted to have been true even when they were relatively young; now, in their old age, the entire landscape is a bizarre charade that’s remixing ‘careful’ self-disorienting liberal identity politics (left?) with the propaganda of neofacism (right?).

I don’t feel the sense that ‘left’ or ‘right’ refers to anything that can be reasonably abstracted from the clusterfuck of insane noise-has-become-signal circus acts that publicly pornify themselves as they develop.
