I saw a single instance of a double-yolked egg in my entire lifetime prior to a month ago.

I went and got a dozen eggs from Santa Rosa egg farm. So far, out of 7 used, 5 had double yolks and one had a triple yolk. And I can tell that a number of others in the carton have doubles by their size.

Animals are acting in weird ways that imply they either do not see humans, or don’t care as much about human proximity. A coyote walked directly toward me three days ago before veering off about 20 feet away.

But this egg yolk thing… I thought it was just me.

And then I heard other similar stories…

Something a lot deeper than ‘there’s a virus going around’ is going on. I have no intention of naming it, but I am paying close attention and have been for some time. I do not expect to be able to ‘figure it out’, partly because it’s a constellation of changes, not a simple unit. It’s a field. But I know that something fundamental has gone wildly bizarre, in at least 10 different ways, many of which are really difficult to deal with.
