We’re already experiencing something resembling a civil war, fomented in part by the reigning idiot we refer to as our President and a variety of foreign and domestic actors. Inflamed by the unexpected discontinuity of the novel coronavirus pandemic, a confused and largely disorganized population is being scripted to strike out at anything resembling a target, including themselves and each other. I here explore some of the foundations of this issue and reflect upon how we got here.
