The radical architect that uses features of nature and organism in his/her designs…
… is unlikely to be able to make actual buildings.
The reason?
The systems that validate (analyze and approve) engineering projects… were formed around normative situations, styles (read: rectangles) and features of structure. They are entirely incapable of evaluating that which lies beyond their scope.
And thus…
… that which lies beyond their scope?
Is invalid.
This is how authorization tends to work in a wide range of the ‘systems’ developed to enable the convenience of ‘simplifying’ the processes of evaluation that (quite naturally) infest our modern cultures, schools, minds… and social relationships.
