TIme and again throughout human history, there are stories of when ‘The Gods Departed’ and apocalypse ensued. There are thousands of clay tablets of Babylonian origin, describing ‘the disappearance of the gods’ and ‘the profusion of demons’ that emerged from the resulting rip in the fabric of communal reality.

When we fail to establish meaningfully intelligent and humane collectives, an artifact-like result of this failure eventually rises to dominate us. And the faculties we require to be aware of and respond to such a circumstance are generally the first casualties of this process.
