This is part of the reason why I developed a model of a system that would not only invert this, it would take advantage of and present us all with the benefits… of something like its polar opposite…

… a system where we all got smarter… every time we interacted… with each other… or electronic devices… and, particularly, information…

“A lot of the products out today have an echo chamber effect. We type into google a query that identifies what we want to find. Facebook gives us a ‘news feed’ is optimized around showing us ‘news’ that we’ll ‘Like’.

A mathematical analogy that comes to mind is a vector… where the direction that the vector is pointed symbolizes the unique manner that we resist what-is-going-on. So one form of resistance is to ‘I hate X’ or ‘Y makes me angry’ or ‘I desire more of W’. In this analogy, these products are using advanced AI to locate the particular direction we’re already pointed in… then exposing us to stimuli that further extends the magnitude.

The dual to this would be a product that I call ‘cognitive dissonance’ engine.

IF you know that person P_0 believes Y, Z, W; then compute the next fact ‘Z’ that introduces the greatest cognitive dissonance.

So necessarily ; ‘Z’ would need to be something they couldn’t discard/explain away easily… dissonance only occurs when yo
u can’t get it out of your mind… something feels off now until you integrate this ‘Z’ you can’t simply forget ‘Z’.”
