“Let me be clear: we neither have nor participate in a society. We are, however, largely dominated by numerous opposites of a meaningful society, crudely disguised to resemble ideals most of us believe in but have never experienced.

The absurd presumption that the raging clusterfuck of historical, narratological, commercial, moral and political abstractions we are subject to and relate with constitute a society is one of the most lethal fictions we will ever encounter.

If we are to actively assemble and experience anything resembling an authentic society, we must first recognize and reject the hideous abstractions that presently occupy the layer of human activity where ‘nations’ and corporations exist.

What we call societies more realistically comprise a monstrous array of fatally unsustainable fictions. Like cancers consuming any available resource, they gorge themselves on the momentum and potential of our historical and future efforts which are, to them, disposable commodities.

Thus we are deprived of the authentic social and relational advantages that are the natural result of enlightened communal activity. These monstrous pretenders have insatiable appetites; left unopposed, they will obliterate both the environment and the opportunity for meaningful social culture.

So I say to you that we must clearly identify and reject the predatory pretenders that have so long occupied the terrain we must occupy together in order to establish something more human, humane, intelligent… and, perhaps, beautiful. This is well within our reach and capacity… we must invent new ways of being human together. Now.”
