Some call me a ‘luddite’, but I prefer technologies that preserve and enhance my faculties to those that retard or amputate them ‘for convenience’. I’m not trying to tell others what I think they should do, but I would like for them to have the information that results in them having the option to explore what is being lost as ‘the age of convenience’ wipes out vast domains of human ability, creativity, and opportunity for learning.

At the same time, we should bear in mind that not all research is trustworthy, and it’s relatively easy to design studies that produce the results a researcher desires if the peer-review is poor, non-existent or skewed.
