Most of the really important ideas… are dangerous… not necessarily intrinsically… but because they often reveal the fragile, misguided underpinings of the superficial ideas holding sway in the common ‘culture’. Or they comprise a straight-on assault on ‘more traditional’ ideas.
The fact that an idea is dangerous, on the other hand, is no indication of its verity or value…
