‘Live Simply So That Others May Simply Live’ is a laudable sentiment. But it doesn’t work in a situation where specific classes of persons continually eat up the meager ‘benefits’ produced by those who do this… in behaviors that capitalize on the availability of wealth, luxury or power.
In this situation, the formula fails, for it simply redistributes the benefits (and power) that might otherwise have accrued to all of us or the world… to a tiny fraction of the population who are intent upon capitalizing on the profit acquired by imposing suffering or obliteration on others and the world.
