Memes are dangerous for many reasons; one of which is that they often contain information that’s completely falsified in such a way as to acquire the ‘gold’ of social media: shareability.
While the sentiments that inform this image are fascinating and seem virtuous, the facts appear to dismiss the description as a kind of fantasy… one engineered to capture the attention and share-power of social media users, most of whom fail to develop the capacity to vet media for its origins, purposes… and verity.
I admire the sentiment and suggestions of the text, but it’s almost impossible that it is anything like what wolves actually do when traveling, especially in such an unusually large group.
On the other hand, animals that cluster »do display the capacity to organize their groups for protection of specific individuals or females. Rarely, however, are they particularly kind to or protective of the sick or elderly… an exception might be Bison, whose elder males are sometimes crucial to carving paths through the winter snow for the rest of the herd…
