The superhero can be seen a pornographic re-projected representation of what we must assassinate and co-opt for prostitution in the child. And this is, in part, why the child is so compelled by these projections. They are the ‘drama tokens’ of their own lost powers, inhibited purposes… and dreams. The leftover manipulables. The museum display. The comic book. Yet this is not the only aspect of its allure; it reminds us that we carry a gift from beyond the world of culture; a gift from beyond the sky… and if we can awaken it… heartfully, gracefully… we can ascend beyond the norms and standards of culture. To their origins… and, perhaps, the Virtues can be embodied here… as our own bodies, minds, relationships and character…
