It is unwise to speak on certain topics; indeed, with careful reflection it is probably nearly always unwise to speak. But perhaps we are still able to become sensitive to the powers and dangers of speaking. There is often a profound irony in speaking, as when here I speak of the wisdom of silence… a virtue that is rare in our common ‘public’ relations.
