“But there are no such things as angels.”

“Really? Do you think you can so simply do away with the origins of that with which you make such a statement in mere language?”

“What do you mean?”

“Firstly, that angels aren’t things; therefore, there are no such things. Secondly, that if there were no angels, you would be entirely unable to make statements such as that one.

Indeed, without the angel, you would be incapable of forming or understanding language or concepts, and it would be impossible for you to form or sustain what humans call, in English, ‘beliefs’.”
