We should realize that the idea of the individual is at once distinguishable and incomplete. So, while there are discernible individuals— yet each individual is an expression of and organ in various forms of distributive identity. So a person’s intelligence is both internal and personal, and distributive, transpersonal… always born of and influenced by context, relation, history, and many other factors. We are both ‘the many of our histories and relations’ and ‘the one’ of our personal interiority.
Yet such a remarkable transformation is quite natural in contexts that elicit it, or accidents that may trigger originary aspects of our ability, spirit and intelligence. This is not so much a transformation as a goal, but rather engagement with and intimacy with processes of concern, action, discovery and wonder. This process is always deeply interior, and yet… it will occur, for most of us, with and perhaps even »for many others.
