Much of our modern interactions with social media and especially ‘news’ are directly emergent from the corporate awareness of our intrinsic vulnerability to being drawn into ‘The Drama Triangle’, where we are inclined to become competitors for the role of Victim.
This essay outlines this model and gives valuable insight into its bizarre and yet entirely common workings in our lives and societies. I suggest that anyone who wants to escape this process and establish something more like mature relationships carefully study this model in order to understand its dangers, symptoms, and how to move beyond it.
