Spotted my first great-tailed grackle today at Stow Lake… but had to do some research to discover ‘what’ it was… the sounds attracted me, as I knew I had never consciously heard calls like these before. Soon after that, the bird came across from the Heron/Red-tail nesting island to where I was watching from, and I got to see it up close.
