∞ “As a child I had a strong and persistent negative reaction to the ideas that popularly comprise our models of law, ‘justice’, and prosecution. The reason was simple: it was obvious to me even then that these were fictions, and that the modes of concept and description that empowered these fictions were poisonous. They lie to us about the nature of humanity, action, value, meaning, force, and identity. They lie about the nature of truth, justice, and fairness… and the nature of these lies is explosively and consistently self-inflating. The resources used to accomplish and sustain that inflation come directly out of our own minds, lives, hopes, ecologies, families, work, and history. And when those run dry, they are stolen from the future of our species and life on Earth.
And these lies, existing as passive cultures of agreement or deflated dissent, instruct our minds. They can, under the right conditions, produce minds in their likeness.”
