It’s tragic when science ‘discovers’ intelligence in nature. Where the fuck did they think ours comes from? They evacuate nature (and time, and space) of intelligence, place representations and abstraction where intelligence must reign, and then go apeshirt when any organism demonstrates obvious signs of ‘intelligence’… that the scientists ‘just find astounding’. It’s not astounding. They are. The universe and every living organism is »explosively intelligent. To pretend otherwise so that you can then discover tedious likenesses with representational thought is absurd, lethal, and … really very cruel.
