No one knows enough about nature to tamper with living organisms; and the idea that scientists or technology should be the arbiters of the actual risks is both insane and lethally misguided.

The people of Florida are correct to be concerned. Additionally, the mosquito vector in Zika has not been proven with research. Only sexual transmission has been proven. Secondarily, it is not entirely clear that Zika is the cause of microcephaly in infants — this, too, while a popular topic in headlines, is unproven, and there is conflicting evidence that Zika plays a causal role.

Humans do not understand even .001% of nature. Their ‘ideas’ about safety are insane and misfounded. Ecologies are part of our bodies, and directly affect them, moment-to-moment, instantaneously… not merely in the ’cause-effect’ relation proposed as a model by science, research and ‘logic’.
