The oceans might not be able to survive… not us… but our cat populations…

“The average pet cat in the United States eats 30 pounds of fish per year, about double that of a typical American.”

For the US alone, that’s 2.574 billion pounds of fish per year. And all the damage of acquiring, processing, transporting, disposing, and otherwise ruining… damn near everything.

To feed housecats.

It’s surprising to consider the degree to which our preference for pets directly impacts the remaining ecologies… catastrophically, moment-to-moment.

But it isn’t ‘just’ ecologies. Human lives are decimated… to feed our cats.
