The colors that the hummingbirds have been displaying in the sunlight during mating and territory displays are the ‘compliment of green’ and are ‘not found in the spectrum’. In a sense, this is ‘the color of elsewhere’, and has long been among my most favored hues. Magenta is ‘where the opposite ends of the spectrum would meet’ if it ‘were bent into a circle’.
