Ryan is an amazing soul who I am honored to learn with.

Yesterday, like many days, he risked his life to save a rattlesnake that was in dying in a trap much like that of our own culture, experience and language.

A trap that should never be there.

A trap too invisible to understand.

It is far more that is dying in the incoherent mesh-net of culture, isolation, confusion and divorce… from living places and relationships.

Into nets. Network, much?

In thought or false relation, we cannot see the lethal meshworks that bind, constrict, shock and suffocate us.

Until we become seeing, together. With and for each other in and as living places.

Ryan and his courageous wife attempted to free a rattlesnake that was trapped in deadly netting used in gardens. They were able to free it, but it died of shock. That loss can become many lives rescued. We can become the voices and hands of that creature, and with those voices and hands we can learn…

… to beware the rectangles. And remember wiser, truer ways.
