So, it turns out that memories are not much like we imagined, and… additionally, this guy has just radically reforged molecular neuroscience in a single (4 part) blow that is now emerging, after suffering incredible assaults from referees… and passing them… into the literature.

It is impossible to understand just how profound this is. It means that memories are nothing like what we imagined, and that whole aspects of memory and identity can be, in theory, reforged from a single originating link. It implies that memories bend proteins, and that two “modes” of these specific proteins exert opposite qualities: one wipes out cells and local identity — the other establishes, maintains… and, under some circumstances… ‘corrects’ these resources.

There are astonishing ramifications here that fly in the face of nearly all of what we knew and believed… about these proteins… before today.
