Our experience of and relationship with time is not given, but rather emerges from the purposive character of our experiences of relation. As relation becomes more abstract, conceptual, analytical or fictional… our experience of and relationship with time degrades toward concreteness — and we experience ‘dead durations’ rather than ‘becoming time together’ which is, in fact, our true nature.
