The forest is not a temple. It is not a luxury. You are an extension of the ecologies of Earth in the same way your hand is an extension of your body. If your hands started wiping out your body for the sake of fictions about hands being gods and their preferences for machines and jewelry over existing or having a body at all… you would have a situation like humans on Earth. Humans think nature is a resource or ‘gift’ that can be converted to dead terrain or adored. This is like your hand thinking that your head is something that is wide open to development… which means decapitation.

The actual relationship between human existence and the ecologies is »more intimate than this. Not less.
