Ignorance tries to protect itself with fear and reactive anger. I know this because mine does this regularly. We can learn through careful pausing and reflection when our fears are being triggered, and this is one of the paths to wisdom. I most often become reactive in the presence of forces that I feel are either threatening to me (especially from my past) or when I feel I am not being heard, understood, or acknowledged.

And I study these incidents like a forensic detective, because I am my best developmental ally (but another who has deep insight is incredibly powerful as an aid and catalyst).
