It’s interesting that people (mostly certain people) do not actually realize that when they are being passive-aggressive… it’s actual violence… and it is similarly impactful and profound as direct physical violence, in its own context… which is psycho-emotional, or relational.

Passive-aggressive behaviors are covert displays of relational violence. Direct physical violence is obvious, and often will be openly declared to be wrong — but passive violence is covert, subterranean, and, actually, more malignant … over time… because the subtle implications can be more harmful than those we can easily and obviously dismiss as ridiculous or abusive.

Passive aggression is relational violence.
