Is the solar system actually ‘an object’? If we step back and look at the solar system from without — and in its actual relations with other structures in the universe, we may visualize it as analogous to a cell. The Sun would thus represent the nucleus, and the planets organelles… the ‘membrane’ would be the effect of solar emissions on the intergalactic medium, and Earth would be revealed as ‘an organ of the sun’ rather than an orbital. And what an astonishing and vital organ it is, pulsing with the fervently divine effulgences of eyes, lives and minds…
