I often imagine worlds where things I find objectionable are either completely impossible, or punished by mysterious physical laws that covertly act to preserve or protect human intelligence. For example, somewhere there is a world where the first time you flash a gang sign… your hands disappear. Gone. Forever. Never coming back.
