Do punishment and imprisonment stop crime?

Do they effect Justice?
No.

Are they extremely ethically, socially, and financially expensive? Catastrophically.

So what the hell are you doing?
It’s a business, man. You pay us to torture your enemies, and we produce more enemies.

What about Rape? Does punishing rapists stop rape?
No.

What does it do?
It exacerbates rape.

Why would you do that?
Because fear, confusion and outrage are our advertising agents.

That’s sick.

Maybe, but not as sick as you — you demand this of us. And pay us to do it. To you, your nation, your family, and your children.

Well, we are going to stop.

Not likely. Not today. And definitely not tomorrow.
