White Dress
Inside my heart.
I am wearing a white dress.
No one can see it.
Utterly unstained.
I am a man. But my dress.
Is the most beautiful wedding.
In any common moment.
And no one can see that.
I am a fevered flower.
Stainless in the light of time’s kiss.
That I am a virgin miracle.
And the voice of my dress is liberation.
This dress shatters cages.
So I take it to the prisoners.
And while they sleep, blind and dreaming.
I gently brush their cheeks.
With the soft petals of my white freedom.
Inside the resurrection restored.
Inside my invisible heart.
The insurrection perfected.
I am wearing a white dress.
