In endless tears listening to the opening battles of the Iliad. When shall we raise brave heroes in such grace as to bide together for each other and our world, rather than set our sons and daughters at slaughter for reasons we too poorly understand and too rabidly obey? When, indeed, shall we cease the hemorrhage of our lives, intelligence, souls and history in war and wastage on a world so hungry for valor, nobility, and living Justice? How did we sell the jewels of our wisdom for the filthy graves of the hysterically embattled? Oh sons and daughters of the sky, no enemy more fell than war besets us, and if we shall have courageous heroes, they shall fell the monster, and no more one another. This I plead to high heaven with my whole heart.
