Here’s a threat big enough ‘to unite mankind’. Of course, it didn’t come from space. It came from… industry and government. If we choose to look the other way, as we have been doing, the results will definitely establish a new standard for active human stupidity. They will make the world wars look like a play-date.

I suppose we need some ideas on how to pull it off. Well, supposing sufficient interest, and a direct demonstration of same, those are directly available. I suspect, however, that, in general, people will remain entranced by their cell-phones and visions of computers linked into human brains and such.
