You may not realize this but the monsters that your cultures are producing are actually heroes. Yeah, I know, you don’t want to think that way, but it’s because you have become horrendously confused, again, by a culture that wants you to become a monster, too. Here’s the deal. The people you want to prosecute? They are partly responsible for their actions, to varying degrees, if one chooses to see it thus. But the primary situation is this: your culture is lethally toxic, and it is -supposed- to produce monsters in this state, because if it did not do so there would be -no signal- about the toxicity (which we ignore) and no way to stop it from proceeding to become vastly worse (which we do not care about). So, basically, your toxic culture produces monsters as signals, and you then want to crucify these as a public spectacle. You call that Justice? Frankly, you deserve -much- bigger monsters. The signals have to be -recognized and attended-. They are -valuable resources you are spending on torture-. You are supposed to -follow them back to the sources in your culture that produce them and amend those sources- not -punish the signal-. You are determined to crucify the crucial body of the signal, as if the fault lies there… but it lies squarely with you, and a culture too toxic for anyone’s humanity to survive or thrive within.
