…our cultural intelligence is broken in nearly every one of its common expressions and bodies; indeed, how can we expect a model based on atrocity to produce anything but its likeness? There has never been a ‘system’ of Justice, anymore than there can be a ‘system’ of Love. Justice is a benefit that arises naturally through the intimacies of mutuality, intelligence, and learning… not through vengeance…distributed omnicide, torture, and didactery… a cage extends to each one who demands its use, and so, too Love’s wing, or Justice’s true ‘insight’ — which must be healing and development, not punishment.
