There are ways of playing with and invoking intelligence that render the sum of human adventure-stories boring in comparison. These ways belong to you. They are, in fact, your nature. Any legend or hero you have seen is a tedious hyperbole of two or three of the faculties of which you have and are the instance of tens of thousands. You were born to make legends look pale, because you carry a secret no human culture has ever gotten anywhere near.

And your own cultures are doing everything possible to insure that you never discover any of this. There are no exceptions. All human cultures must resist what you are carrying, because what and who you actually are, would obliterate them.

Human intelligence is vastly more interesting than quantum mechanics, judaica, zen, or any of its myriad branches. It is the single most astonishingly advanced set of forces in the universe. But we are using them like a hammer, to paint with excrement. Our relationship with our intelligence is the shadow of our relationship with nature, which term poorly represents the sources of its genesis and active renewal.

The incredible heuristic ‘drag’ that our cultures produce like gravity, coupled with the way we are learning to use technology create a conspiracy our natural assets cannot survive. And the endless halls of disembodied pseudo-religion not only inhibit our direct experience of access to these faculties and developmental paths, they actively and forcefully prohibit them.

There are nearly zero demonstrations of anything like what we are and may become together in any stream of human media. It is as rare as a signal from intelligent life from space. Of course, we have been looking to the sky for Gods from time immemorial, when the appropriate direction was not up, but in. And the same thing is true of advanced ‘alien’ intelligence.

The direction is not up. It is in.

You’re carrying what SETI is seeking. And it doesn’t look like your stories. At all. You see, SETI succeeded, before there was life on Earth. And that life, and you, are the result. You are the signal you are seeking in the sky. But you are not equipped to detect it.
