In many cases we need some kind of a peculiar introduction to a phenomenon and perspective on it before we can relate with it consciously. This ‘moment of introduction’ transmits the vague outlines of a relational framework of identity, value, change, potential, and so on. This is personally and uniquely ‘filled out’ thereafter in relations informed by the structural character and limitations of the framework in combination with the person (or group’s) skill, creativity and inspiration in applying, reforming, or otherwise activating it. The moment of introduction is profound; it casts a long developmental shadow on the mind, the introduction of this kind of novelty is prone to revise all existing frames, it is an explosive moment whose structurally informative importance cannot easily be overstated.
