“What I want you to see is difficult for moderns to understand because the frameworks they are used to using to understand and evaluate identity, value, and function are indescribably primitive. And what I want you to see is part of why that is.
For the past 50 years, your species has experienced a cascade of sudden technological leaps. Rather than solving your problems, the opposite result has repeatedly and profoundly obtained. This agenda has exacerbated nearly every issue it was invented to amend, and threatens to turn life on Earth into a catalog of remains and displays in museums visited only by devices. Yet the process and its champions cannot see this. And no one really understands why you had those leaps.
Here’s why: while you were ignoring everything but the little complex hammers that you kept smacking yourselves, your world (and everything that lived or hoped to) in the head and eyes with — the biocognitive networks of your living planet, and your own minds, were acquiring new relational and cognitive potentials that make your technological revolutions look like celebrations of excrement slinging. Literally. Since you don’t believe in rapid evolution, and don’t actually understand evolution at all, you cannot detect this, and if you could, would not believe it. You might make silly religions about it, however, which would mislead you almost as badly as ignoring it would.
And the ‘revolutionary leaps’ that nature, and the -potential- structure of your own minds has undergone over the past 50 years were so unthinkably profound that, although the world looks almost exactly ‘the same’ to you as it did 50 years ago, this has nothing to do with the world, and a lot to do with your species’ predilection to continually adjust your eyes so that the new looks the same as the old, the familiar and the known.
So what this means is this: for the past 50 years, you’ve been burning down forests of opportunities beyond anything your incipient stupidity could allow you to imagine, for the approximate equivalent of dessicated sh*t shaped like power. You’re like a creature standing in a field of anciently evolved relational intelligences whose singular and collective natures represent transentient expansions to your own senses, mind, and intelligence — and the only thing you can think of to do is pretend they are objects and burn them down with flamethrowers of unutterable stupidity.
You’re standing on a mountain of ‘intelligence cash’ that reaches to the moon, burning it down for an actual penny. Then you spend that penny to attack yourselves. This isn’t going to work. Try and realize that you’re surrounded by opportunities so advanced that it is -as if our species had contacted other intelligences-, and we are so angry about this that we keep burning down the radio instead of establishing mutual relations. I speak here of nature, not science fiction. And the radio is, in this case, our own minds and models, agreements, and frameworks.
We are too blinded by what we think and know to see what is actually here. Half of the blindness is cult-like, apes metaphysics (but is largely hyperbolized falsehood masquerading as power, love, or wisdom), and wants to convert us to models of nature, spirit, ‘magic’, power and ‘success’ that are as insipid as they are toxic. The other half is corrosively abstractive, and attacks or rejects anything that cannot be explicitly specified and reduced to a manipulable. These are the two lenses of the blinders we wear, and their frames are made of a form of knowledge that is more prone to retard our development than aid it. The reason is simple: it wants to survive, in preference to our development, survival, fulfillment, or awakening. And in this, it is like our machines, our agendas, and our collectives.
We are in another world we cannot see. If we can learn to see even 1% of the new opportunities for sudden relational and intellectual prodigy, we can change what it means to be human on Earth in a month.
30 days.”
