But as you can see, the problem isn’t ships. It’s human ideas that become embodied in mechanized processing techniques that involve horrific cruelty and egregious ignorance. And you might think, well, it’s just a few whales. You’d be wrong in that thinking for a number of reasons. The first is that your own health and intelligence depend upon those whale populations in ways your species remains too primitive to conceive of.
