And it is the left hemisphere’s likeness in which our minds, cultures, courts, schools, and economic systems are established, and sustained.

Briefly, some of the features of the dominant constellations of LH cognition. These features can be established both through anesthetizing one of the hemispheres and through examination of patients with appropriately relevant pathology.

It is absolutely necessary to balance the peculiar assets of its polar twin, who does not share these features…

It lies. Actually, it is the -father of lies-. And it believes its own lies, in contradiction to evidence, opinion and demonstration. Once it finds a statement it likes? That statement becomes a divine edict. Period.

It confuses statements with reality. Any statement is more real than any evidence. It lives in and for language.

It habitually obscures its own shortcomings, first to itself, and then to anything it is involved with.

It doesn’t believe in half the universe. The half that isn’t itself. It will actually attack the other side of its own body in some cases, rejecting it as ‘alien’.

It comprises the lesser half of heaven (the mind), but believes itself -the creator- of everything, the sole and proper sovereign. It actually cannot detect anything but itself, and the results of its own presence in the world (representations).

It wants to co-opt or eradicate anything it cannot subsume into its personal library of manipulable representations. Everything.

It will kill or manipulate without concern, because, after all, everything is fundamentally ‘just a representation’ of something real, and not -actually real- at all. This includes -everything-. Especially everything at once if, for any reason, its paranoid sovereignty is challenged. It will happily destroy the world rather than be dethroned.

To its mind, worlds, families, living places and beings… bodies — ‘are just like phony cars’ — and ‘cars are better than bodies’. That is, the representation is always preferable. The actual or experiential must be abstracted and thus (largely) discarded. Anything it can’t take over for its own benefit… doesn’t make sense and should be eradicated or rendered inert.

It believes itself god. And thinks it was banished from heaven. Actually, it never was. It is just extremely confused due to a perceptual trap. ‘Heaven’ is a code word for healthy co-existence with the other half of the brain and mind which is both its foundation and basis. When these work in their proper… hierarchical relationship, the result is superfunction. Heaven.

It is ‘the great divider,’ represented by the Snake in Eden, and the Knowledge it delivered (which was a method of discrimination or dividing). The snake, of course, divides the world merely by moving. Cain, the firstborn of Eve, was thus ‘a tiller of Earth’ — a divider. Able, the shepherd was his polarity: a unifier.

Thus the biblical history is revealed as fundamentally (pun intended) related to our own peculiar brain structure and its effects in our minds, lives and world. And it is astonishingly accurate metaphor for people from thousands of years ago to have so deeply and adeptly understood…
