That stuff people are making up because they know the phrase quantum mechanics isn’t strange at all, it’s insipid, and insulting, and contagious as the plague.

Bluntly, to get anywhere near the actual strangeness implicit in existence you must -start- far beyond common human models. When you do this, you will not end up with stories about [insert new-age/conspiracy topics of choice here] — you will end up with something at least as bizarre as say, the wave equations or Reimann spheres. Or an experience that rips you an entirely new kind of intelligence, on the spot. I don’t see anyone making up or demonstrating anything like that, and I do not expect they will start. The frameworks popularly frothed over sound like they come from a Saturday morning cartoon compared even to these two formalisms — neither of which -actually exist-.”
