“If most people had any idea about what their brains are like, structurally, they would stop blaming individual humans and cultures for what are, almost certainly, direct expressions of hemispheric character and structure. Let me give you a simple example of how serious this matter is, and how profoundly it reflects upon our lives.

The primary mind-like forms associated with the left hemisphere’s (LH) representational assets are formidably domineering, and aggressive. They do not understand living things. They understand parts, assemblies, and things that are made by human beings. The LH paradigm is technological, and has no regard whatsoever for living beings or systems — only what they can be converted into — manipulable representations. It doesn’t matter if these are forests, people, nations, children, or the oceans of Earth. The LH doesn’t care about anything but labels; attaching them, enforcing them, categorizing them, and then transforming the results into objects and ‘rewards’.

Not only is the LH ‘uncomfortable’ with most of reality and living beings, it actually refuses to believe they properly exist. This includes the half of your body associated with the other hemisphere which, unbound from its twin, the LH would declare to be fictional, alien, or a fantasy. It actually -believes- that only models can or should exist, and these should ‘really only include the aspects relevant to LH concerns — that is, denominability, manipulability, function, and value in representational contexts.

The LH paradigm is (and has long been) ruling our world, our nations, our cultures, and our minds. While this continues, not only can we not solve the problems we keep examining separately from this elemental root, each time we examine them we will exacerbate them! Because each new pass at representational analysis will provide an ever-more abstracted and ever-less sustainable (for living beings) result.

We must repair the balance between the hemispheres so that the RH is again dominant (but disciplined) and the LH stops pretending it is god and acts like the effective representational prosthesis it is meant to be. Until we do this, functionally, there is -no problem we can effectively solve- that will not simply generate new, more advanced progeny each time we attack it.

We must change the dominant cognitive paradigm of our species, and we must accomplish this immediately. There neither is nor can be any greater emergency. We have met the enemy of life on Earth, and it is comprised quite simply of the misrelational predilections of our representational intelligence. We will either transform that matter at its root, or the LH will accomplish its agenda and reduce all life on Earth, including our own, to representations. Effectively: dead records. A museum.”
