It is surprising, but the beauty we behold, apparently ‘in the world’, is not there and cannot be there. It is in us. In every case, the breathtaking beauty… that we strive to remain in proximity and service to, to protect and adore… it is in us. The beauty can only be in the one who experiences it. That it its nature. It is never, as we imagine, in things, relationships, images or beings… it is always in those who experience it. That is, in fact, its true source and home.
