Copying isn’t learning. It’s programming. A way of insisting others ‘sign up for stupidity’ at your inspired recommendation. Do you have any idea how this appears to people who are not willing to be stupid with you?

The little quotes and images, the absurd maxims and idioms that we send each other ‘as if we were friends or allies’ are the actual wings of active stupidity.

If you think this behavior is inventive or even tolerable, you have lost something that is priceless and irreplaceable. I ask that if you have nothing to say, that you simply not say what isn’t yours. In other words: stop copying the seeds of stupidity into your family, friends, and social networks.

Don’t be a vector. Think, act, and post originally. Even if it gets you in trouble. The memes and crap you would otherwise share actually costs lives. That’s right. Beautiful images and pithy quotations kill.

Don’t be a vector.
